The Sugar/Ethanol industry's raw material is sugarcane, a plant rich in sucrose, of a perennial culture.

After extraction of juice from the cane, after its purification and concentration, it becomes sugar, one of the most highly consumed products in the world.

If the juice from the cane has yeast added for fermentation, it will become ethanol, commonly used for drink or fuel for Flex cars.

During fabrication of ethanol, part of yeast can be separated, dried, and used as an ingredient for animal feed.

After extraction of juice from the cane, the bagasse which is left over, is burned in boilers that produce steam. This, in turn, is used in the fabrication process of sugar and ethanol. The steam is used to turn turbines for generation of electric energy, which is used in the mill or sold to distributors or factories, conducted through transmission lines.
