Board of Directors
The Board of Directors reports to the President, who in turn answers to the Administrative Board, which is formed by eight members who meet at least once every two months. The Board Members of Renuka do Brasil are as follows:
Narendra Murkumbi – Chairman (Shree Renuka Sugars): Engineer with post-graduate diploma from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Recipient of Economic Times – Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010.
Ashutosh Maheshvari (Motilal Oswal) – CEO of Indian investment bank, Motilal Oswal. Engineer with MBA. Experience in areas of corporate finance and acquisitions across the world for past 17 years. Also the recipient of the award, Indian Investment Banker of Year, 2010 by The Global M&A Atlas.
Gurdeep Singh – Career spans over 37 years in Hindustan Unilever Ltd in Operations Management and Control, heading numerous projects across geographies in India, UK and Brazil Also serving as Non-Executive Director on the boards of numerous companies in India.
Luiz Conrado Sundfeld (Santher) – CFO of Santher, Brazilian Paper Company. Graduated in Economic Sciences at Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) - São Paulo, with Executive MBA at University of Illinois, US. Twenty-year experience in banking and agribusiness sectors, including institutions like ADM, Rabobank, Crystalsev and Fischer Group.
Pedro Freitas (Veirano Advogados) – Senior partner and member of the Board of Directors of law firm Veirano Advogados. Honoray Consul for India in Rio de Janeiro, Director of Brasil-China Business Council, President of Innovare Institute, former general counsel for Vale, Odebrecht , Brasil Telecom and senior counsel for International Finance Corporation.
Mr. Gautam Watve, is the President & Head (International Division) in our Company. He has over 14 years of experience in the field of strategic planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, Operations and Finance.
Sérgio Toledo (Equipav Group) – Civil Engineeer graduated in City College of Piracicaba, Specialization at Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance.
The Board Members deliberate through majority vote on the strategic decisions made by the company, such as business plans and large investments, and they also organize temporary committees in order to study strategic matters, for example, remuneration and auditing.

Paulo Adalberto Zanetti (CEO) – Graduated in Agronomic Engineering, at Fundação Faculdade Luiz Meneguel de Bandeirantes - PR. Was Vice President and Industrial Director at Corol - Agro-Industrial Cooperative in Rolândia (1985 to 1994), Executive Director of Alcopar - Association of Bio-Energy Producers (1994 to 1998 / 2001 to 2003), Executive Director of CEPAAL (1998 to 2001) and President of PASA (1998 to 2002). Currently Director for: PASA - Paraná Port Operations, CPA - Trading Company for CPL - Paraná Logistics Center; and Director Vice President of Alcopar - Association of Bio-Energy Producers of Paraná State. Currently Presidente of the companies Renuka Vale do Ivaí S/A and Renuka do Brasil S/A.
Prashant Niranjan Keshavrao - Graduated in Commerce from the Karnataka University, in Dharwad, Karnataka, India. Joined Renuka Group in 2000 and has been in Brazil since 2010, when Renuka took over Vale do Ivaí S/A and Cambuí (State of Paraná) and Madhu and Revati (State of São Paulo). In 2012 he became Director of the units of Paraná and, subsequently, in 2012, took up the units of São Paulo as well, becoming the CFO of Group Renuka in Brazil.
Geraldo de Oliveira Homem (Industrial Director) – Graduated in chemical engineering at UNAERP and industrial automation at UNISAL. He worked at CTC (Center of Sugarcane Technology) from 1989 to 2001, and after that he held management positions in the Bonfim Mill (Corona Group) from 2001 to 2003 and at the Albertina Company from 2003 to 2007. Joined Renuka do Brasil in 2007 as industrial manager of Revati Mill.
Luiz Antonio Borges "Xixo" (Agricultural Director) – graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the Faculty of Agronomy and Animal Science "Manoel Carlos Gonçalves," and has MBA´s at FGV, in Management and Soil Conservation at ESALQ - USP and in Industrial Management in the sugarcane industry at FAAP - UDOP. He was Agricultural Manager in São João Group (units of Sao Paulo and Goiás), Cosan (Gasa Mill) and ETH (Santa Lúcia Mill), totaling 20 years of experience in the sector.
Paulo Gibim (Director of Supplies and Logistics and Corporate Management) – Graduated in accounting sciences and business administration, post-graduation in accounting sciences with specialization in accounting and auditing management, and MBA in business management. Worked at groups Nova America and Cosan, with the functions of Manager of Affiliates, Administration and Logistics Manager, Director of Planning and Control.
Tony Rivera (Legal Director) – Graduated in law at PUC-SP, post-graduate in contractual law at PUC-SP and corporate law at FGV. Worked at Brasil Telecom (1999 to 2003), at CSN (2003 to 2007) and at Paranapanema (2007 to 2010).
Ricardo Aquino (Commercial Director) – Graduated in food engineering at UNICAMP, post-graduate in marketing at ESPM and MBA at Katz Business School of University of Pittsburgh, USA. Served as Sales Manager and General Manager in several multinational companies in the business-to-business sector like Dixie Toga, International Paper, Danisco and Nordenia. Joined Grupo Equipav in 2002, as New Business Development Director.
